Abrasive Blasting

Abrasive blasting is a surface preparation technique used in various industries.

We use abrasive materials such as steel grit, sand, recycled glass and many other forms of media depending on the substrate. It involves propulsion used at high velocity onto the surface of a metal object. The purpose of abrasive blasting is to remove contaminants, rust, old coatings from the metal surface, creating a clean and roughened profile.

This prepares the metal for subsequent processes like painting, coating, or welding. Abrasive blasting is crucial for enhancing the adhesion and longevity of protective coatings and ensuring the quality of metal components in industries such as manufacturing, construction, automotive, and aerospace.

It is performed in our Indoor blasting bay using specialized equipment and requires safety precautions to protect our workers from abrasive particles and dust.
